Getting around
Public transport
The MRT Putrajaya Line serves Cyberjaya, including Cyberjaya Utara and Cyberjaya City Centre stations, and runs north towards KL. Many residents also drive or use e-hailing, as parts of the city are spread out.
Driving and traffic
Cyberjaya is linked to KL and the airports by highways such as the MEX, ELITE and SKVE. Traffic within Cyberjaya is generally lighter than in the city, but the approach roads can be busy at peak times.
Schools and universities
Universities include Multimedia University (MMU) and Limkokwing University. There are national schools in the area, and international schools in nearby Putrajaya.
Shopping, food and daily life
- DPulze and Tamarind Square: shopping, cafés and restaurants.
- IOI City Mall: a large mall a short drive away.
- Lakes and parks: good for running and cycling.
Pros and cons
What's good
- Newer condos at low rents
- Close to KLIA and Putrajaya
- Quiet and green
- MRT access
What to weigh up
- Far from central KL
- Fewer dining and nightlife options
- Some areas need a car
- Many similar units, so check each building carefully
My tips for renting here
- Compare buildings carefully. With many similar condos, management quality is the difference.
- Check the walk to the MRT or the shuttle options if you commute to KL.
- Negotiate. With plenty of supply, there's often room on rent or furnishings.
- Ask about internet options in the building if you work from home.
